Breasts change drastically from soft to hard state...

Question

22 yr old, no kids. 45 lb weight loss. I asked a question a few days ago on what I should have done to my breasts to achieve my result with a photo of my breasts in their "ugly" state (soft/relaxed). Every doctor suggested an augmentation with a lift. The thing is that they my breasts change drastically when they're hard. My nipple/areola complex appears higher and smaller. I attached a picture when they are semi-hard. Does the opinion change now or is BA with BL still the suggestion for me?

It's hard to be certain just from your story and photos. My first impression from your photo alone in which you are holding your phone is that you can do well with an augmentation alone. It would probably need to be dual plane, to try to achieve a greater "lift" effect. If you feel you would like your areola to be smaller this can only be accomplished with a circumareolar mastopexy, but probably not require a lollipop or anchor type scar. A shaped anatomic implant may also play a potentially useful role in your case. If all of your consultations have left you confused, try to get more clarification for the surgeons you have seen, or consider yet another consultation. Better that than an unhappy outcome. Best of luck to you.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  Based on all of your pictures I think a breast augmentation with a lift is your best corrective option to help reach your goal results.  Your breast should be adjusted based on their relaxed state not a temporary change when hard.  Hope this helps.

Hello Bootifyme!There is not enough positive change when they get "hard" to avoid a breast lift and implants recommendation. Your wish pica are NOT realistic for your shaped boasts. So you must find other pics with lifts to see if the scars would be acceptable.

There definitely will be a change of your nipple areola to some degree due to the nature of the procedure itself. Breast augmentation alone has a tendency to stretch the nipple areola somewhat increasing its diameter. A breast lift counters this by actually reducing the size somewhat to offset the stretch from sagging skin and breast tissue. All the while this may or may not have an affect on the nerve supply and sensation to the nipple areola however uncommon. Discuss this with a board certified plastic surgeon. Best Wishes
