Is it normal for my lips to be super dry after getting 2 syringes of lip fillers? (Photos)

Hello and thank you for your question! Yes, it is not uncommon for your lips to be dry after lip filler. Hyaluronic Acid, what lip filler is made up of, draws in and holds onto water, which can cause dry lips. Additionally, the swelling and stretching of the lips can lead to more dryness as well. It is best to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and use of a lip moisturizer would be ideal.

There is no drying effect with fillers.  Swelling and bruising are the most common complications.   Best of luck

The filler itself should not cause dryness of the lips.  If your provider used numbing cream, this may have resulted in the dryness or mild irritation your are experiencing.  If they are particularly dry, you can use Vasoline for a few days until the dryness resolves. Continue using a moisturizing lip balm with SPF to best protect and moisturize your lips.  Enjoy your fuller lips!
