I am planning on having rhinoplasty done this summer, but I have been thinking of also getting one of my brows lifted as well. When I smile it almost closes. My eyebrow isn't as arched on that side and the eyelid is also puffier. I haven't found any info on one sided brow lifts, it is do-able? Also, how much additional money would it cost me if my rhinoplasty was about $8500? I just want to know what to prepare for. Any information would be great. Thank you!
Answer: Droopy brow on one side It is certainly possible to do a brow lift on one side but there might be more to your asymmetry than the brow alone. There may be orbital bone asymmetry and/or ptosis as well.

Answer: Uneven brows Thank you for writing. Though it is not completely clear from the photographs, you might have an eyelid ptosis (drooping) on the right, in addition to a lower brow. Ptosis is a condition we occasionally see. You should have your surgeon examine this. It can be repaired, though not all plastic surgeons do this operation. In regards to the brow, it's possible that the unevenness is due to a more active forehead muscle (frontalis muscle) on the left side as opposed to a drooping of the right side. As Dr. Mesa below points out, Botox could be used to weaken the muscle above the left brow to lower it and improve symmetry. This may be a better choice for now than a "one-sided" browlift. Good luck on your rhinoplasty surgery. Very likely your surgeon has an expertise in eyelid and brow surgery as well as Botox treatments. He or she should be able to advise you.

Answer: Browlift procedure and a rhinoplasty A full set of non-animated photographs are required to make a determination about a brow lift procedure. There are multiple ways to lift a single brow surgically, in addition to Botox. A brow lift procedure and a rhinoplasty can be performed at same time under one anesthetic with one recovery period. For many examples of both procedures, please see the link and video below

Answer: A brow lift for only one side? Thanks for the question and is more common than you think. When we see the anatomy demonstrated in your photo, the one brow is usually held up in order to keep the eyelid up. It is the eyelid that is the culprit and the term for the eyelid droop is called Ptosis and its repair will allow the brow to relax to match the other side.
