I have anemia. Can I still have cosmetic surgery?

my animia is bad my hemoglobin levels are at 61 and my iron is not even regerstering. The red blood cells I have are also undersized will this affect my abbillity to be approved for the surgery's I want

You should really have your anemia corrected before undergoing any type of surgery. Finding out the cause and correcting it if possible are critical to your safety.

It would be unsafe to proceed with elective surgery such as a breast reduction now. Follow up with your primary care physician to thoroughly evaluate your anemia and get that corrected. Once that has occurred, it would be appropriate to go for a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss breast reduction.

I am sorry to hear about the significant anemia. I would suggest that you not undergo elective surgery until the anemia has been worked up and treated.  The physicians who know you best (primary care and/or hematologist) will be able "clear” you when the time is right. Best wishes for a speedy resolution;  hopefully you will be able to undergo the breast reduction procedure, which tends to be one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform.
