Thank you for your question. As long as you don't have a hernia in the area that is being treated, then it is OK to get CoolSculpting. However, I would recommend you be examined by a surgeon prior to treatment. Make sure you are under the care of an expert. Best wishes.
Very good question. It would depend on the location of your hernia as to whether the previous surgery would be a contraindication to CoolSculpting. I would talk first to your doctor that performed the hernia repair to get input about the safety of the procedure. Next, I would find a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist to perform your CoolSculpting treatment that has full knowledge of your hernia surgery prior to your procedure. I wish you all the best as you pursue your body contouring goals!
It would be important to know the location of your hernia repair in order to tell you if CoolSculpting might be an option for you or not. If you had an inguinal hernia repair, this should not cause a problem when performing CoolSculpting on the abdomen. If you had a hernia repair on your abdomen, like an umbilical hernia repair, then it could be an issue. CoolSculpting should not be performed over the area of an existing hernia. If you had the hernia repair on your abdomen, an examination of you would be needed to determine if you could undergo CoolSculpting or not.
Thank you for your message! CoolSculpting is safe if the hernia repair is well healed and there are no further existing hernias. That being said, CoolSculpting can increase the risk of creating a hernia. I would recommend a consultation with a provider in your area so they are able to assess the area to see that you are a candidate for the procedure. I would also get clearance or see your primary care provider prior to having procedure as well!
A well healed hernia is safe for CoolSculpting. Make sure the repair area is properly evaluated to insure there is no problem. The suction used in CoolSculpting can be a problem if the repair is not intact.
As long as your hernia repair is intact and the mesh is in place and there is ample amount of fat over the area, Coolsculpting would be fine. However, if there is an existing hernia then please consult your surgeon.

CoolSculpting only addresses subcutaneous fat. It does not address any underlying organs or tissue. If you are having abnormal symptoms, then you should consult a physician.
Thank you for your question! A CoolSculpting treatment on the abdomen will only effect the subcutaneous fat in that area and should not have any effect on your menstrual cycle. If you are experiencing a missed period, I would recommend consulting with your physician/gynecologist...

Thank you for your question and pictures. We do a lot of Coolsculpting and get amazing results, but I don't think it's an appropriate treatment to accomplish your goals. If you are only looking for a non-surgical option to improve your buttocks area then you may want to consider a combination of...
