I had a great experience with Dr. Machado from before the surgery to now (almost a year later). The office staff and Laurie (the nutritionist) and Dr. Machado all work together to give you well rounded care. It was the best decision I've ever made. I feel cared for and safe.

Dr. Machado is simply the best, she saved my life and my husbands as well. I was 330 lbs and am now down to 200 at 5'11, my husband was 516, he's now around 200 as well... Doctor Machado treated us like humans, I cried when we met her because other doctors didn't treat us well. The photo in the left is me in 2006 at 320 and me in the right 13 years later at 200. Julie Brenton in this office ruined this process for me from start to finish. The billing is not explained appropriately and the charges arent either. Be aware, you will pay the full cost up front to the Dr. and then 3-6 months after the surgery you get another substantial bill that this office will demand pmt on immediately. You won't end up getting any value out of the $4,950 that you are required to pay up front in ADDITION to all other costs. They call this a "professional services charge" and it promises free cool sculpting appointments post surgery. They do not actually offer you those appointments or actually give you that service. This $4950 is just a membership fee to Dr.Machado. While this type of surgery can be a good healthy choice - this experience for me was un pleasant. Would not recommend going here. It's been a year for me since I had surgery. I chose to go elsewhere for aftercare. Very disappointing experience at Sacramento Bariatrics.
