Boobs making squeaky noise. 8 weeks post op. Do I need to be worried?

Under muscle breast lift with silicon implant. I noticed my boobs have started making squeaky noise when I massage them. Yesterday I was walking and tripped on a rock and fell. I put my left hand down to catch my fall and I felt a little tearing on the left side under the breast where my anchor scar is. It was tender for a couple hours but then went away. Today when I was massaging my breasts I noticed the Noise in both breasts. Do I need to be worried? I have a 9wk appt this weeks with my PS.

The noise may be associated with fluid from pulled muscle. Ice compression and refrain from exercising helpful. Make earlier appointment with your plastic surgeon.

It is not uncommon for women to experience some noise (squeaky sound) in breasts post breast augmentation especially when in the mountains due to dehydration. It should improve if you hydrate yourself, but obviously, discuss this with your surgeon this week. Good luck.

Thanks for your question.  It is not uncommon for implants to make a squeaky sound during the early healing phase. Many of my patients have noticed it.  It is likely just the implant material moving against the ribs and muscle.  It will go away with time.  Best wishes.
