Can you get BodyTite on breasts with silicone gel implants?

Thank you for your question. Yes, you can do Body Tite on the breasts with implants in place. The Body Tite is a fairly new system that uses Radio Frequency to shrink wrap the tissues. It works by stimulating new collagen formation. Because it relies on your own body to produce this collagen, final results can take up to a year to be seen. In general the system will produce about a 30% improvement in skin tightening. This system will not lift your implants to fill the upper pole of the breast like a surgical lift would. It is hard to give really good advice without a personal evaluation of the breasts, or even a picture, but the general answer to your question is "yes," BodyTite can be useful in breasts even after they have been augmented.  There are some very important considerations here though, in addition to simply being able to use the BodyTite machine and do a procedure.  In cases of breast laxity it is important to determine which structures are responsible for the undesireable appearance.  If it's the capsule around the implant or the deeper supporting ligaments, it may be more challenging to perform a BodyTite procedure and get reliable results, because the heat energy that tightens tissues can also tighten the capsule in ways that we may not want, creating distortion of the breast, or in the worst case, capsule contracture.  If it's more skin laxity or laxity of superficial tissues it is easier to make the desired changes with BodyTite.  The best advice I can offer is to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in both breast augmentation and the use of BodyTite on the breasts.
