BodyTite vs tummy tuck? (Photo)

Question

I had a vaser hi def 1 yr ago. The results were not fully satisfying and I was looking for a revision. My doctors said I will need a mini tummy tuck. Since I scar very badly and I am looking to have children in the future, I was looking for something less invasive. Will bodytite be able do give me a defined stomach or is the mini tummy tuck my best option. My doctor does NOT perform bodytite. Thanks in advance for your suggestions

You probably need some sort of skin removal to be happy, but this really just depends upon your expectations and your plans to become pregnant in the future.  BodyTite is a non-excisional device that utilizes radio-frequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL) to address the shortcomings often associated with traditional liposuction or surgical body and face lifts, including sagging or wrinkly skin and scarring, by inserting a wand under the skin to coagulate inside while tightening the skin on top. Schedule an in-office consultation with a board certified PS who performs BodyTite and obtain his/her opinion.

Hello and thank you for your question and photos. 
 I feel that you would have the best result by far with a full tummy tuck focusing on skin tightening. A mini tummy tuck or modified tummy tuck would produce minimal results and leave you with residual excess skin on the upper abdomen. Muscle tightening may or may not be needed which can be determined at your consultation.However, if you do extensive liposuction as the sole procedure, you would benefit from a skin tightening device along with it such as J-Plasma or Imode BodyTite. 
I would recommend an in person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon well-versed in all aspects of body contouring.

BodyTite is a RF skin tightening modality. It is minimally invasive (on par with liposuction). It can certainly help with issues of skin laxity. However, it should not be expected to deliver a non-surgical tummy tuck result.Based upon your photos, you demonstrate significant skin laxity of the abdomen. This would be best addressed via abdominoplasty. However, as you are planning to have more children, BodyTite is a more reasonable option. As long as you maintain reasonable expectations for the degree of improvement to be expected, BodyTite can be a very helpful alternative.As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

If you have no plans for future pregnancy consider bodytite. A tummy tuck will give you a better more predictable result with the degree of excess skin that is evident in your pictures. As you mentioned there is no scar, and the downtime is just a few days with bodytite vs the tummy tuck.Regards,
