I would like to start microneedling my hair line since it is receding. I am already taking finasteride and applying minoxidil daily. Would microneedling help with hair regrowth? Also is there a possibility of keloid scars forming on my head from the microneedling? I have a keloid scar on my shoulder from a surgery years ago.
Answer: Micro Needling Finasteride, minoxidil and micro needling can help and stimulate the hair grow. You can ask your doctor about keloid.

Answer: Hair loss — spironolactone/finesteride, PRP/acell/exosomes, emeragecosmetics Restorsea spray, Viviscal, anteageMD stem cells at home dermarolling helps but in office injections are what is needed over microneedling. start theradome as well (see link). You need a formal evaluation to see what type of hair loss you may have. when you have hairless its best to do a full hormonal workup for internal optimization plus scalp biopsies or scrapings to rule out any stress related, inflammatory, autoimmune or infectious causes of hair loss. In general most people with early hair loss have telogen (stress related) and/or androgenetic (normal aging) and both can be treated with in office treatments like steroid injections, PRP/acell, Exosomes and at home treatments like oral medications, oral vitamins like Viviscal, topical exfoliating sprays like Restorsea, and weekly growth factors like anteagemd. See an expert for an evaluation. If hair loss is significant it may requires hair transplant (follicular unit translation).

Answer: Does Microneedling Regrow Hair? and what hair regrowth treatment is better than finasteride and minoxidil? And It seems that you have 2 parts to your question, which I will answer separately: 1. Can microneedling regrow hair? The answer to this is no. However what microneedling can do is a couple of things: 1. It makes tiny divots/holes in the skin that allow for better absorption of topical solutions through the skin so they get into your blood supply and therefore to the hair follicles. Note that for this purpose the length of your microneedles should be 0.25mm to 0.5mm. You should not be drawing blood. With the needles at this length you will not cause scarring. But it will allow for better absorption of the minoxidil if you use the roller immediately prior to application every time. 2. It seems as though your FN/MN otherwise known as propecia/rogaine combination are not as effective as you would like - you are still receding. In that case I recommend you should look for a treatment designed specifically to regrow your hair. There is a reason that a recent entry into the market of this has called their program "keeps" and not "regrows". Additionally, in order for any treatment to be effective there must also be an accurate diagnosis. What we have found is that each person's hair loss case and the factors causing their hair loss are different and unique and must also be treated the same way. Any treatment that does not include comprehensive blood tests as part of their diagnosis process cannot be effective long term. Good luck with your search for a hair regrowth specialist to help you.

Answer: Yes Microneedling can help but keloids are hard to predict. I think that micro needling can help with hair loss and provide regrowth. I offer Cellustrious as a treatment in my office and micro needling is an important part of the treatment. The "micro" injury caused by needling will cause a healing response that brings in growth factors that promote scalp health and can rejuvenate follicles. Keloids can be hard to predict. Even though micro needling only causes "micro trauma" you may want to treat a small area of the scalp and see how you react before having the greater part of the scalp treated.

Answer: Microneedling Microneedling is supposed to stimulate self regeneration of hair follicles. It’s unclear to say how effective this treatment is as there are no research studies to support its use.
