I have been using a generic Minoxidil 5% with good results from a well known company in my country. My question is: does switching from Generic to Rogaine help get better results? in other words why Rogaine is more expensive than other types? is there a difference in efficiency? Thanks.
Answer: Minoxidil generic versus Rogaine Brand Hello, There is no difference between the generic minoxidil and Rogaine. The only differences to look for is the concentration. If you are getting good results with your concentration, stick to it. Results with minoxidil/Rogaine vary widely. Some people see no difference in hair growth while others see more. There are many factors in hair growth and retention I am sure you are aware, some of them can be vitamin deficiencies, imbalances of testosterone and estrogen levels, DHA production, and most of all genetic predisposition.

Answer: Generic vs. name brand Generally speaking, there is little significant difference between the generic and brand name version of a drug, assuming your country has reasonable regulations around the production and selling of generic drugs. Brand names tend to be more expensive than their generic counterparts because the companies that make them spend more money on things like marketing and advertising. If you have been having good success with your generic medication, there is likely no good reason to switch.

Answer: Hair loss — spironolactone/finesteride, PRP/acell/exosomes, emeragecosmetics Restorsea spray, Viviscal, anteageMD stem cells there is no difference between the generic and the branded. start theradome (see link). You need a formal evaluation to see what type of hair loss you may have. when you have hairless its best to do a full hormonal workup for internal optimization plus scalp biopsies or scrapings to rule out any stress related, inflammatory, autoimmune or infectious causes of hair loss. In general most people with early hair loss have telogen (stress related) and/or androgenetic (normal aging) and both can be treated with in office treatments like steroid injections, PRP/acell, Exosomes and at home treatments like oral medications, oral vitamins like Viviscal, topical exfoliating sprays like Restorsea, and weekly growth factors like anteagemd. See an expert for an evaluation. If hair loss is significant it may requires hair transplant (follicular unit translation).

Answer: Rogaine Minoxidil Or Generic Minoxidil The quality of the ingredients matter. Many people offer Minoxidil which is technically the same medication as brand name Rogaine but what they sell you is inferior quality. A high quality compounding pharmacy can give you a far more superior product than many of these. They can strengthen it further by combining it with other medications such as topical Finasteride (and several others). We fine tune all our medications to our patients' unique hair restoration needs and get them specially compounded for them. We can even do 10% Minoxidil for some of our patients through a pharmacy. You should see a hair restoration specialist either in person or by virtual consultation.
