I actually took the time to read the research papers and did my due diligence when researching Emsculpt Neo. I found Dr. Stanizzi, after doing an on-line search, and am I glad I did. He and the rest of the office staff are excellent and personable. I am a female with a normal BMI. I do work out, with weights, around 5 times a week. I would consider myself in good shape, but was looking for a little help with my abs. I always struggled with that area, as far as working out, and carried a little extra fat. Dr. Stanizzi took the time to examine me and we talked for quite a bit before moving forward with the treatments. He truly wants to make sure you are a good fit, for the procedure, and is not interested in just taking your money if he doesn't think it will help. About the treatments: They feel odd, that's the best way to put it. It is not at all painful. I tolerated the machine being at 100% right away. Some of the contractions are intense, which I loved. The machine gives you a great workout. I loved the abdominal treatment so much, I signed up for the abdominal maintenance plan and biceps and triceps treatments too! The arm treatments are a killer! I was at 100% power on the first treatment and completed my 4th arm treatment just today. I'm not joking when I tell you I can already see a big difference! My abs are stronger and more defined. I can already see the fat disappearing and my jeans are fitting better. I finished my abs last week and still will continue to see improvement for a few more months. After 4 treatments, my arms, which were already pretty toned, are noticeably bigger! I feel like if you are in decent shape, Emsculpt Neo can really give you nice results. If people are not seeing results, they may be in a higher BMI range, where studies have shown the results are not as good. This machine is not a cure-all for a proper diet and nutrition. If you are at or close to ideal body weight, this machine will not disappoint. I think BTL should find a way to market this treatment to athletes and bodybuilders.
Dr. Matt Stanizzi did a full blood workup for me and reviewed in such great detail, I was able to learn a lot about my overall health as well as any deficiencies I had. It is very refreshing to work with a doctor that does not treat you like a number, instead gives you an actual plan based on your specific needs. I am working with Dr. Stanizzi on my overall health, but also more specifically in ways to proactively combat issues that arise when reaching your mid 40's. In my experience, most health care professionals are very limited in their expertise. Dr. Stanizzi has a well rounded breadth of knowledge I have not found anywhere else. I would encourage anyone to meet with him and see for yourself.
Dr. Stanizzi performed the Emsculpt Neo procedure on my abdominal area over the course of 4 treatments/weeks. I experienced a little soreness after the first treatment as my abs don't normally get a hard work out (I've always hated ab workouts!!), but I noticed that in week 2 my core workouts didn't exhaust me as quickly. After 4 treatments core workouts are markedly easier! I am really looking forward to my 12 week maintenance appointment to see how the progress has continued. I lost a few pounds in the first 4 weeks and could see a difference in my physical appearance! Thank you Dr. Stanizzi!
Completed 4 half hour series of Emsculpt Neo on my abs, after the 4th treatment already a noticeable difference, and as the days go on I am still getting results. My workouts in the gym just were not targeting my mid section no matter how hard I tried. After treatments my mid section has lost inches and core is feeling stronger, work outs are better and muffin top is melting!! This is a awesome procedure that really works! Dr. Stanizzi is full of great information!! Can't recommend enough!
I don't see any reason why having hashimoto's thyroiditis would cause a problem with EmSculpt or EmSculpt Neo treatments.
Emsella uses electromagnetic radiation to stimulate muscle contraction in the pelvic floor. First of all it’s highly Unlikely that any appreciable energy will reach your jaw. More importantly titanium it’s not affected by magnetic fields. So on both accounts you’re fine.
Yes it is possible for the radio frequency to cause skin burns. It is pretty unlikely as the hand pieces have a temperature sensors in them which monitor the tissue and are effective in preventing it from happening. Treating over an area with scar tissue or an area that is numb increases the possibility of a burn. Fortunately it’s unlikely for these burns to be severe and should heal like any burn in the unlikely event it should occur.
As long as there is no metal under the treatment area I do no reason why a prosthetic knee would be a contraindication to an Emsculpt treatment.
In order to preserve adipose you would want to make sure that fat underling the skin doesn't heat up to 43 deg C. The EmSculpt or NEO can do this as long as the Radio Frequency (the heating element in the NEO) is not turned on. The EmSculpt NEO has a new software upgrade that offers a Gentle Setting that heats the muscle for maximizing the strength and tone but doesn't heat the fat to cause significant fat reduction.
