What are my options for removing the "muffin top" I have been left with after tummy tuck? 3 months post op but got a feeling I'm going to have to start saving for some kind of revision. Or will this eventually go down? I feel more like it's excess fat rather than swelling as it "flabby" not hard. 26 years old 6 foot It also seems to be worsening
Answer: What are my options for removing "muffin top" after tummy tuck? Hello @Dash687, thank you for your question and showing you pictures. It is important to take into account several aspects among which is the surgical technique applied, and to evaluate if there is something else at a systemic level. Remember that a tummy tuck or any surgery has a process for healing that can take to a year. The best course of action is to consult one or several board certified plastic surgeon for more information and options tailored specifically to your needs. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Timing It's too early to consider whether a revision is indicated. Final results are not seen for 9-12 months from surgery. At that time you can consider correction based on the underlying cause of concern. If it is subcutaneous fat you may have improvement with liposuction alone. If it is excess skin as well then a revision to your tummy tuck can be considered.

Answer: Post abdominoplasty issues You may require a revision procedure with either liposuction or more likely some skin excision. A physical exam would answer these questions. Best wishes. Dr. Taranow

Answer: Tummy tuck result Positioning of this car is really important when it comes to having quality outcomes for this procedure. The thickness of subcutaneous fat right in the groin area is extremely thin. If the incision is set that low then there will inevitably be a mismatch at the incision line between the thickness of subcutaneous fat at your groin compared to your mid abdomen which are the two skin edges that are brought together during surgery. Weight loss patient will also have both vertical and horizontal skin laxity The horizontal skin laxity is treated with the tummy tuck or extended tummy tuck but the horizontal skin laxity still remains. Some of it gets incorporated into the incision and this can cause bunching up of skin in certain areas. It looks like you have some of that especially on the left sideI suggest having a few in person consultations to get a better assessment Mats Hagstrom MD
