I've had lipo all over my body and now I am really unhappy with the dips that I have. My doctor says he will try to lipo more from other areas to potentially do a fat transfer to my hips. I like my thigh/upper thigh region but clearly this area has the most fat. I'm scared that if I do a fat transfer the fat won't stay in the hips and then my thighs will also look bad. I really want an hourglass shape. what Is the best way for me to do this? I also want to lose 20 more lbs.
Answer: Fat transfer Dear ericasong96, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: What is the best option for me to fill my hip dips? Thanks for trying to post a photo, but in clothing does not really demonstrate the deformity or hip dips... Best to virtual consult with.... In my opinion lipo 360/HipDip BBL using required ultrasound guided fat injections is your best option. Fees $7,900.

Answer: Treating hip dips I would not call the area of concern hip dips. Hip dips when their present would typically be where your undergarments are on the single picture you’ve included. The contour of your torso should be able to be corrected with Liposuction alone. Harvesting fat should not be technically difficult in your case for fat transfer if indicated. Delivering consistent quality liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe. This is true for patients as well as plastic surgeons. most plastics 13s feel they are highly experienced and good at Liposuction but results speak otherwise. There’s a great deal of variance when it comes to talent and experience for Liposuction results. liposuction has more variation in outcomes based on who does the procedure than any other surgical procedure I’ve ever seen. By far the most important valuable is finding the most talented and experienced provider. This is first and foremost and by far the most important decision patients should make. To do that typically requires a substantial amount of work and time commitment. To find quality providers patients needs to schedule multiple in person consultations. During the consultations patients need to actively be vetting plastic surgeons to decipher who has the greatest amount of skill and experience. The easiest way to do this is to ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures rather than the pre-selected sample pictures most people show during a consultation. most people will have pres selected pictures which generally represent the best results of their career. This is totally insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like or what results that didn’t turn out well look like. for that reason patients should ask to see a variety of outcomes including excellent outcomes, average outcomes and less than outcomes. and experience provider should have no difficulty showing you and minimum of 50 sets of before and after pictures for the anatomic area and procedure you’re interested in. highly experienced providers will have hundreds or even thousands of before and after pictures for each anatomic Area and each procedure. Ask providers to show you as many before and after pictures that they can of patients who have the most similar body characteristics to your own. providers may be reluctant to do this especially during an initial consultation. patients shouldn’t cyst on it whether it requires follow up visits or having the provider take the time to find the pictures. Having a clear sense of what average results look like is the only way to have some assurance of what your results will look like. Quality plastic surgeons tend to be detail oriented and meticulous about their work. There’s typically means they are thorough during consultations and while operating. A quality consultation may take about an hour. I also recommend reading all reviews on various physician review websites avoiding providers for any significant number of justified negative reviews. The absence of justified negative reviews is more important in more telling than having an abundance of positive reviews. Ones in the hands of the most talented and experienced provider listen to the recommendations and your chance of having a quality outcome as well as understanding your own candidacy with a clear understanding of what can and cannot be accomplished should be straightforward. Find the right provider and everything false into place. Patients posting on real self who’ve had previous procedures should always include formal before and after pictures. if you don’t have your before and after pictures then ask your surgeon to forward the ones they’ve taken. Please use those including pictures showing the front side and back. It’s very difficult to make an assessment on someone who said previous surgery if we don’t know what you look like before having the procedure or procedures. For those who’ve had more than one procedure include the before and after pictures for each procedure. Likewise when you getting second opinion consultations patients should also bring all of their before and after pictures as well as copies of the operative report of all previous procedures. Without seeing it before and after pictures or views from different angles it’s difficult to give you an assessment on what is the best procedure. From what I see I think Liposuction should be able to correct your body contour. Adding fat transfer may help improve results. It depends from person to person but typically hip dips are lower than what you’ve indicated in your picture. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
