I'm an A cup, are 200cc enough for me to get a full B cup? (Photos)

Question

Hi, So, my doctor says if I want to go over the muscle (which I do) that he can only fit in 200cc (round Allgergan moderate profile) and with any other bigger implant I'd get rippling and the implant would be too visible, etc . I want a very natural result (more to the smaller side, full B cup), but I'm wondering if 200cc are enough for me to get what I wish for. I am very narrow chested I believe. Stats - I'm 5'7" (1.70 m) and weigh 125 lb (57 kg). Thank you so much!

Thank you very much for your question and
photographs. From your pictures, it does appear that you would dramatically
benefit from a breast augmentation procedure. This will leave you with a
contoured chest that is more proportionate to your physical shape. A 200cc implant
should take you up by one cup size. However, remember that it is difficult to
say what cup size you will be after receiving implants. Cup size is relevant
only to the bra brand or manufacturer, and may vary from store to store. Choose
an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon for your breast augmentation.
This will ensure the safest and most satisfying results possible. He/she should
have breast implant sizers available for you to try on, which will help you get
a visualization of your potential results with a 200cc implant.

you should go with is to book an in-person consultation with a highly
qualified, board certified plastic surgeon. Because many surgeons and clinics (like ours) give
patients the option of trying on sizers as well as provide digital imaging
during their consultation, patients can get a better idea of what type of results different

Thank you for the question and helpful pictures.  Based on your photographs, I think that you are starting at a good place and should have a very nice outcome with breast augmentation surgery. Ultimately, careful selection of plastic surgeon and  careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, in bra sizers, and computer imaging) as well as careful measurements (dimensional planning) will be critical.  
 Make sure you carefully consider,  the short and long-term pros/cons associated with breast augmentation done in the sub muscular versus sub glandular position. You will find a lot of information regarding this topic on this website.
I think it is in the best interests of most patients seeking breast augmentation surgery to have implants placed in the “dual plane” or sub muscular position.  This positioning allows for more complete coverage of the breast implants leading to generally more natural feel/look  of the implants in the long-term. This position will also decrease the potential for rippling and/or palpability  of the implants (which may increase with time, weight loss, and/or post-pregnancy changes). The submuscular positioning  also tends to interfere with mammography less so than breast implants in the sub glandular position. The incidence of breast implant encapsulation (capsular  contraction)  is also decreased with implants placed in the sub muscular position. 
On the other hand,  sub glandular breast implant positioning does not have the potential downside of “animation deformity” ( movement/ distortion of the breast implants  seen with flexion of the  pectoralis major muscle)  they can be seen with breast implants placed in these sub muscular position. 
Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:
1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. ***Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.
2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. 
In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, 
I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "full B cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful.
Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.
3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers.

Thank you for your question. "Tissue based planning" relies on your chest and breast measurements and is the safest way to ensure good long term results. Your surgeon should determine what size and projection are necessary to give you your desired result based on your body's measurements. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic breast surgery. Looking at your photos I might say that you´ll be a great candidate to get a breast augmentation with implants. The size of the implant will depend of what you want and what your body support; the results of this procedure are beautiful, giving you and excellent shape of the inner and outer pole of the breast.
