Is the pain worse and does it last longer if compression is not done properly? Had Lipo 6 weeks ago.

I recommend following up with your Doctor about getting a compression garment that fits and doesn't cause muscle spasms. Pain can be managed with oral neurontin. I have my patients wear compression for 3-6 weeks straight then overnight for 3-6 months after their procedure. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Thank you for your question.  I sorry to hear about your experience.  While no one can have a guaranteed outcome with any procedure and there is no consensus on compression wear after liposuction one will see the recommendations vary from strict 24/7  for 6 weeks others may opt for as needed and as tolerated.  I would recommend you discuss your condition with your surgeon.  Good luck.

What you are describing sounds like nerve pain. What kind of liposuction did you have? Did it involve heat? Don't wear the garment if it bothers you. Furthermore, if running aggravates the pain then back off on the running for now. The fact that the pain is improving is a good sign.
