I’ve been told Sientra tends to be more conservative when it comes to profile sizes. For example a high profile Sientra implant would be equivalent to a Mentor moderate plus. Has anyone had this experience as well? Just curious as brands tend to have different profiles and it is not universal.
Answer: Implant shape more information is needed to give you a helpful answer. Each company fills the implants with slightly different silicone. Sometimes, when it's more cohesive or sticky, there is more of a difference than the profiles they are assigned. So, the different names of the profiles are not standardized, and the silicone filler is very important in determining the final shape. If you speak with a plastic surgeon, they may be able to give you more of an idea of your expected final appearance.

Answer: Implant type Dear Neat493895, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Actually, the opposite! A 325cc Mentor moderate plus profile implant has a width of 12.3cm and a projection of 3.8cm. A 325cc Sientra moderate plus profile implant has a width of 11.8cm and a projection of 4.4cm. The Mentor Xtra and BOOST implants get a little closer to Sientra, but still aren't quite the projection of the Sientra mod plus. In reality, you shouldn't get too hung up on implant profiles. Your surgeon should pick an implant width that fits your breasts and chest wall, and then from there you should pick a volume that gives you the size and proportions that you like. This will determine the most appropriate profile for you.

Answer: You can check Hi there, you can compare the different manufacturers implant dimensions directly. Just go to their websites and look at the product catalogs and compare projection. The implants you mentioned are comparable, but you can see exact numbers on the catalogs. Good luck!
