Can I have both rhinoplasty and veneers during a one week trip?

Question

I'm planning on getting veneers and rhinoplasty done. I'm traveling overseas to get this done and I'll be by myself. Since I'm by myself I don't want to stay longer than 8 days in a foreign country. I was told it would take 1-3 visits and a total of 5-7 days for my veneers. For my rhinoplasty I was told that after 7 days I will have my stitches removed. I was thinking of getting my temporaries on the 1st day, my rhinoplasty the 2nd day, my stitches removed the 7th and my veneers the 8th day.

Hello,Thank you for your question. I would advise getting veneers done before the rhinoplasty. As you need to protect your nose from any kind of traumas and actions that may cause excessive pressure on your nose, which might cause bleeding. Hello,Thanks for your question. You probably can have both procedures performed during your stay if all goes according to plan. As long as the cosmetic dentist doesn't put any pressure on your fresh rhinoplasty, placing temps then veneers is possible. As with all foreign medical trips, make sure that you have thoroughly vetted your providers, because complications and revisions will be very expensive to manage. Good luck,Dr. Shah

It might be tough.  You would need toClarify to logistics with both the plastic surgeon and the dentist.  If you have the rhimoplasty done you probably won’t feel like undergoing a dental procedure for a few days.  I suspect it could be done but the coordination and timing would need to be well planned out ahead of time.

I would see no issue between getting veneers and a rhinoplasty. The real concern would be excess pressure and force on your nasal tip or nasal bones during the dental surgery. As long as your cosmetic dentist was aware of the extra precautions then i see no problem moving forward with both.

You will need to do the veneers first and the rhinoplasty second as there will be pressure put on your nose during the veneer procedure that will not be advisable with rhinoplasty surgery.
