5 month post op and still looks the same as when I took the cast off. Is there something wrong?

I would continue to followup with your rhinoplasty surgeon; it depends on the area of the nose treated and could be due to other factors...

Thank you for your question. As you mentioned above, it does take about a year to judge the final results of your operation. It is important to be patient with the healing process. If you have a thick skin, it takes longer for your nose to heal compared to patients with thinner skin. You should be able to see the difference right after your cast is removed. However, as I stated above, this change might be more subtle compared to other patients due to the thickness.  In order for me to give a good answer, I should examine your nose, or at least see some photos of it. This is all I can say without seeing anything. I strongly recommend you to go to your appointments regularly and stay in touch with your surgeon. Try to be patient to see the final result.
