There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. Hi @bumpysituation! The upper cheek is a major support for the under eyes. I would first begin with addressing the volume loss in the cheeks followed by addressing the tear trough area. If you are hesitant about dermal fillers, PRP injections are another great alternative. PRP which stands for Platelet Rich Plasma is a natural and non-surgical solution to treat under eye circles and bags. PRP is highly effective for restoring sunken eyes. Generally, two vials of blood will be collected from the patient and placed into a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins and separates the platelets from the rest of the blood components. The plasma contains the valuable collagen and growth factors from the rest of the blood's components. The plasma is then drawn up into a syringe and injected in the tear trough area. Typically, 3 sessions is adequate for optimal results.

Forget the expensive, heavily marketed lasers. Prescription strength topicals, even legitimate ones, like retinoids, much like microneedling, are best reserved for improving superficial skin texture and irregularities of skin tone. They are not for providing volumization, which is required for improving this kind of cosmetic issue. PRP remains a relatively expensive add-on of uncertain value. Fillers, like Belotero Balance and Teosyal Redensity II, on the other hand, have proven themselves for elevating and smoothing the infraorbital region. Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician and not simply any venue heavily marketing an expensive, supposedly "next big thing" device that it recently purchased. Microneedling will restore the collagen in the hollow. You will love the results, Maintenance is key.

Microneedling only addresses skin texture and quality. Tear troughs are a combination of a lack of deep tissue volume and overlying fat pads. Microneedling or cheek filler will not address these issues. You will best be served with tear trough fillers which will directly lift the skin and add volume to camouflage the fat pads. microneedling would help the skin but not adding volume
I always recommend PRP + microneedling if anyone wants for improving skin tone, collagen and skin well being.
