CoolSculpting is a body-contouring treatment that freezes fat cells and permanently eliminates them. It’s not appropriate for the face, except for the submental (under chin) area. Marionette lines represent an absence of fat in the mid and upper cheek and chin, leading to sagging and folding of the skin. It is best to use fillers to revolumize the cheek to lift up the marionette and also to support the tissues around the area. Sometimes lifting the jowl area is also helpful with tightening devices such as Thermi RF, Thermage or Ulthera. I often use Silhouette Instalift sutures to lift this area up as well. The Instalift allows me to choose the best vector for lifting the skin away from the marionette area. Please find a board-certified dermatologist to discover the amazing therapies you can use to rejuvenate your face.
Thank you for your question. Coolsculpting would not be recommended for the improvement of marionette lines. Dermal fillers may be advised depending on your particular circumstances. Best to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who will discuss both non-surgical and surgical options for the face. Good luck.
Hello, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately Coolsculpting can not be used in that area. Please consult with a local physician in person to determine what the best course of action would be for your concerns. Good luck!
Coolsculpting should not be used for treatment on the facial area. I suggest you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon before making any decisions regarding treatment on the face. If your concern is lack of volume in this area, dermal fillers such as voluma or vollure may be a great option for you. Hope this helps. Best of luck!
CoolSculpting can be used to reduce fat under the chin in appropriate candidates. It cannot be used anywhere else on the face, including the marionette area. If your issue is volume loss, then fillers are an option. If it is fat in the marionette area then fat dissolving injections can be considered, though it is an off-label use in this area. Make sure you see an experienced physician provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation. Best wishes.
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately no, CoolSculpting is not used to treat marionette lines or other areas of concern on the face. It is best to have a consult with a board certified dermatologist to address your marionette lines. Best of Luck!
Thank you for the question. CoolSculpting is not used for marionette lines. It can be used to treat submental/chin fat. It is best to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
The short answer is no - you cannot get Coolsculpting of the face. You should schedule a visit with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to discuss in detail other options available to you for marionette line treatment.
No, Coolsculpting is not intended to improve facial lines, it can remove stubborn areas of fat. A combination approach will give the most improvement. I recommend fillers for the lines themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, rf treatments, J Plasma and peels to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert. Dear snowbe:Thanks for your interesting question. The tissues of the face (and body) are all suspended within a fibrous lattice of connective tissue; think of a “loofah fluffy mesh sponge”. When young and youthful, the netting is firm and tight. As we age, the fat, glands and soft-tissues suspended in the netting lose volume and the hammock like effects holding the tissues, sag.Such are the wave of folds in the face with aging. These include the: lateral brow, naso-jugal, nasolabial, lateral commissure – marionette, and neck folds. If there is fat within a skin bulge, and a CoolSculpting applicator fits appropriately like that of the tummy or neck, subcutaneous fat can be reduced. This is the case for many patients using the CoolMini applicator for the sub-mental neck fat extending along the jowl and jawline. Unfortunately, the CoolMini will not “fit” the marionette fold; but other options can help. My recommendations include:1. Consult a talented and skillful, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to evaluate your concerns and discuss your options including:2. 3. Sculptra bio-filler4. Micro-lipocontouring of the submalar cheek, jowls and neck with fat grafting to the cheeks.5. Silhouette InstaLift soft tissue suture suspension to the cheeks, nasolabial fold, lateral commissure, marionette folds and jowls.6. ThermiTIGHT skin radio-frequency firming of the lower face, jowl and neck.7. Obagi, ZO Skin Health therapeutic skin tightening including laser and peels.8. Face Lifting if there is significant skin excess / laxity.I hope this is helpful. All the best.

Dear bhr8605, I am so sorry to hear of your issue! While "frostbite" is theoretically possible from "CoolSculpting" (CS), this is the most unusual response I have yet to hear. Please consult with another Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, with a Certified CoolSculpting Team or an Academic Me...
