Very weird question! 3 weeks after BA, I'm experiencing a weird "numbness" feeling in my arm?

Question

The underside of my left arm, from middle of humerus to elbow, is numb and tingly when touched!? I am not sure if this is surgery related, but it has never happened to me before and is a very tingly, numbness feeling. My RN mother said it might be a pinched nerve from BA. Does this sound possible? It has been consistent for a little less than a week.

Thank you for your question and congratulations on your recent procedure.  Well what you're experiencing is not uncommon it is temporary.  Be sure to fill in your surgeon as to what you've been feeling so they can keep up with it as well.   Good luck and congratulations again.

The intercostalbrachial nerve runs from the chest to the upper arm. This nerve has been stretched by the surgery and should recover and settle down over the next few months.

It sounds like you have symptoms in the distribution of the intercostalbrachial nerve.  Issues with this nerve are more common in transaxilllary breast augmentation (through the arm pit incision).   Hopefullly it will resolve on its own over the next 6 to 8 weeks.  Stay in touch with your surgeon.
