Afterbreast reduction surgery, I advise the patients to take one week off from work. The patients may return to work at that point, but may not engage in anystrenuous activity. At one month, the patients start low impact cardio. Up tothis point you should be sleeping on your back propped up on pillows. Atthree months they can engage in more strenuous physical activity. If anythinghurts or causes swelling, we ask them to back off somewhat.
The answer is it depends. How was surgery? How is your overall recovery going? Remember that each surgeon has different guidelines about return to activity, so for this issue for you to be sure, you should check with your surgeon. Hope this helps. Good luck.Dr Vasisht
Thanks for your question.A quick call to your surgeon or his/her staff will clear this up. It is difficult to answer your question in this forum because every patient will have different healing. Some patients may be ready to return to moderate type activities at 2 weeks some may take a month or longer. I usually tell patients to take their time and listen to their body. No body wants to overdo it and possibly have an issue. Perhaps a friend or family member could help out for a week or two.Dr L

There is a good chance that insurance will cover your breast reduction. You will need the following things to improve the chances :1) supportive letter from your primary care physician or gynecologist or other physician to document that you have had trouble because of your large breasts and...
I think your surgeon is correct in saying the breasts are going to change from this early stage and it's a little soon to judge the final result. Based on these photos early in your recovery I suspect you will have a nice result.
You will need to see a consultant regarding a breast reduction. You may have to pay for the surgery unless there is over 500 grams of tissue to be removed on each side, the average most insurance companies want to see. But be clear in your understanding that no surgeon can make a specific size...
Thank you for your excellent question. I would say that the most important thing to make sure is that your surgeon is board certified by the American Board or Plastic Surgery and not any other board. Next, I would ask them about their experience with breast reduction surgery, what techniques...
