The good news, you are not too bad, the laser hair treatment may have thinned some areas more than you wanted but it is not too bad. Some of the lost hairs may re-grow, as usually multiple treatments are necessary to result in permanent loss. Of course if after enough time the hair line is still not what you want then artistic hair restoration can restore your hair. Maybe you should start biotin 5 mg per day to maximize the hair growth. If this result is permanent, artisucally done hair transpanttion could restore your prior appearance. 

Laser hair removal needs to be repeated every couple of months for about five to seven seasons to get rid of the most of the hair in an area. You need to wait and see if some of the hair grows back. If it doesn't after six months you can contact a hair restoration specialist for your options. 

First, you should know that if you only had one laser scalp hair removal, some of the hair that looks like it is gone, but yet regrow in 5-6 months. With that said, hair transplants to the frontal hairline in women is a real art form because the hairs on the leading edge of women grow in different directions than in men.
