Without looking at your nose I can't say if you are a good candidate for using filler. I feel that if it is done correctly and certain areas such as building up a low bridge is can be effective and lasts at least a year if not longer. My preference is an HA filler such as Perlane. It is generally not safe to inject the tip or nostrils as damage to the tissue can occur. I would consult a doctor with rhinoplasty experience as doing this is really a form of rhinoplasty surgery with a similar set of potential issues.
these can be done in this area with great results if you are a candidate. please speak to your dermatologist or plastic surgeon about their recommendations. Best, Dr. Emer.
Filler placed carefully along the nose bridge, sometimes referred to as non-surgical rhinoplasty, can be a fantasticalternative to invasive surgeries. Filler can help enhance the nose bridge inpatients who have little cartilage, or can provide a smoother profile for thosewho have “bumps.” How long the effects of the non-surgicalrhinoplasty lasts will depend on what kind of filler is used. I typically liketo use Radiesse, a robust, calcium-based filler with a density that can workgreat for shaping the nose, chin, cheeks, and jawline. Radiesse will generallylast 9-12 months, and like you mentioned, will be gradually absorbed by thebody. When done correctly, there is very small riskof side effects outside of bruising and/or swelling. Be sure to consult with aboard certified Dermatologist who is an experienced injector. Best of luck.
Thank you for your question. Filler and botox are two separate things. Botox is used to decrease wrinkles that come from animation (for example; smiling or frowning). While fillers are used to "fill" in the wrinkles that occur when your face is at rest, or to fill in contour defects. If you are looking to improve "bunny lines" then botox is a great treatment. However, if you are trying to fill in a concavity, or mask a nasal hump then fillers are the way to go. Either treatment has minimal side effects. Botox will typically last 3 months while fillers like Juvederm will last about a year.I recommend that you find a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss your goals.Best Regards,Dr. Stutman
I prefer Radiesse to even out the bridge of the nose. Radiesse lasts a little over a year.
Yes, fillers to shape your cheeks will fill out the hollowness in your mid-face. Women are very beautiful when they have soft, round, 'apple' cheeks. You do have a small chin which makes the lower part of your face appear small. Having a chin implant will project the chin...
An aesthetician is not licensed to inject dermal fillers. Please consult with a board certified dermatologist with years of experience with injecting fillers and Botox for the safest and best cosmetic results.
Nurses, whether they be RNs or NPs, cannot inject Kybella because they have not been trained in the procedure. For that matter, neither can PAs (physician's assistants). If you were my relative or close friend, I would want you to have this procedure with a trained core physician, a...
