Filler placed carefully along the nose bridge, sometimes referred to as non-surgical rhinoplasty, can be a fantastic alternative to invasive surgeries. Filler can help enhance the nose bridge in patients who have little cartilage, or can provide a smoother profile for those who have “bumps.” How long the effects of the non-surgical rhinoplasty lasts will depend on what kind of filler is used. I typically like to use Radiesse, a robust, calcium-based filler with a density that can work great for shaping the nose, chin, cheeks, and jawline. Radiesse will generally last 9-12 months, and like you mentioned, will be gradually absorbed by the body. When done correctly, there is very small risk of side effects outside of bruising and/or swelling. Be sure to consult with a board certified Dermatologist who is an experienced injector. Best of luck.
