Can I use therapeutic grade essential oils on breast reduction incisions 3 weeks post surgery? (Photos)

I’m week 3 post surgery of a breast reduction. I do have a few spots where the incision has separated. I saw the PS yesterday and was instructed to put polysporin on it and keep it covered with gauze. I wanted to ask, would it be safe to put on therapeutic essential oils (frankincense, helichrysm, other healing essential oils) as a blend to help with the healing instead of just preventing infection with polysporin?
