Can I use therapeutic grade essential oils on breast reduction incisions 3 weeks post surgery? (Photos)

These types of wound separation may be more common in breast reduction, and it is imperative that you follow the advice of your plastic surgeon.

I think it’s best to ask your reputable and board-certified plastic surgeon about it first. Also, you need to make sure that you follow his instructions because he’s the one monitoring your healing.

Essential oils are wonderful for healing and for skin, but I would not proceed with this until the wounds are fully healed.  Be sure your surgeon knows about any treatments you use for the scar,etc.  Congratulations on getting your breast reduction done!

Thank you for your question. It does not appears as if your scar sites are ready for application of scar treatments. I strongly recommend following your surgeon's instructions. Patients often get into trouble when disregarding instructions from their surgeon.
