Is reyoungel legit? I'm freaking out right now
Answer: The Importance of Choosing Your Facial Filler Injecting Physician Most Carefully Hi Cousin,I agree with Dr. Prendiville. Reyoungel is a hyaluronic acid filler that is not FDA approved and is not used in the US. It appears that you have bruising and swelling from your recent injections. I would wait until that subsides and then if needed have a consultation with a qualified injecting physician who uses FDA approved fillers. If necessary, a qualified physician will be able to help you. When injectors use foriegn products to try to increase their bottom line, there may be some ethical and care issues as well. When it comes to the unforgiving and delicate under eyelid area, it behooves patients to make sure that they choose their injecting physician most carefully. Good luck and be well.Dr. P

Answer: Reyoungel? Reyoungel is a form of hyaluronic acid gel which can be used as an injectable agent. Although I had never previously heard of this product, it appears to be a Chinese injectable filler which is not FDA approved. I strongly advise against use of any dermal filler which is not FDA approved for aesthetic purposes. Was the injection performed by a Physician?

Answer: Reyoungel I want to echo my colleagues in stating that this material is not approved for use in the US. If your injector was a physician and you were not part of some on going approved study then you should consider contacting the medical board in your state and telling them that your doctor is using a non-approved substance . If this was done by an RN or Nurse practitioner then you should report them to the nursing board in your state.Having stated the above it is too early to be concerned as some bruising and swelling can occur no matter which product is used. Wait a couple of weeks and then see someone with a lot of experience preferably a Dermatologist, Facial Plastic Surgeon or Plastic Surgeon
