After my tummytuck it seems like my skin is still loose above my belly button. My muscle plication feels intact and it doesn't feel like fat is the issue because when i pull up my skin right under my breasts the area becomes perfectly flat. How can this be fixed? If Renuvion or Body Tite would work, what do those cost? If not, what about a reverse Tummytuck or skin excision under the breasts? If I was YOUR patient would you consider this a need for a revision? Thank you!
Answer: Renuvion or Body Tite? Cost? Nice posted photos. You can first try the J-Plasma/Renuvion or Body Tite minimally invasive options, costs in the $5,000+ ranges. Or go to surgery of reverse TT at $6,000, which has better chance of improving your results. Best to virtual consult with....

Answer: Skin tightening options Renuvion and bodytite will leave you disappointed. To make an assessment on the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we always need to see proper before and after pictures. Without knowing what you look like before the procedure makes it difficult to assess the outcome of the procedure. Failure to adequately undermine when separating the skin and fat layer from the muscle fascia along the rib cage can leave patients still having skin laxity of their upper abdomen. It’s a difficult area to reach without re-doing the entire procedure unless you do a reverse tummy tuck, which is a fairly unfavorable procedure. As unpleasant as the idea of re-doing the tummy tuck is, it’s probably a better idea than doing a reverse tummy tuck. Consideration should be given to excepting the results the way they are recognizing that the procedure probably gave you some improvements while the results may not have lived up to all your expectations. Consider reposting with before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took. Follow up with your provider or schedule in person second opinion consultations. For in person, a second opinion consultations patient should come prepared bringing with them all before and after pictures and a copy of your operative report. These are all available from your current providers office if you request them. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD

Answer: "Flat but not tight" from a tummy tuck There is no patient who after a well done tummy tuck can't still "pinch an inch" or get into a position where their skin still feels less tight than they might have expected. All TT patients have skin that has lost elasticity either because of pregnancy or weight gain and loss or both. This never totally recovers. So, realistically, all a TT can do is make you look smooth and flat when standing straight up. But it cannot make your skin totally tight. You should consider some in person second opinions before wasting thousands on skin tightening machines.
