Different size nostrils - Is my septum deviated? (photos)

It is normal for there to be some asymmetry that naturally occurs in regard to nostril shape, as no one is truly symmetrical! In your case, it appears that one of the footpads of the nose is larger than the other, making the corresponding nostril appear smaller. This can be corrected during a rhinoplasty surgery. Regarding the deviated septum, a physical exam with a board certified plastic surgeon would best help to make that determination. If you are indeed deviated, this could be corrected during rhinoplasty surgery. You might also consider straightening the bridge of the nose and having the cartilage trimmed to reduce the bulbous aspect of the tip.

Nostril shape is dependant on a few different anatomic areas. The bottom (caudal) septum can be off midline which often causes one nostril to be larger than another. The other factor to consider is the midface bone (piriform) can be deficient on one side than another causing the overall base of the nose to be different from one side to another. A majority of these variables are correcting during an open rhinoplasty. In your case, you have a small amount of caudal septum deviation along with your right piriform more deficient than the right.
