Treatment for Hypertrophic scarring after CO2 laser for xanthelasma under eyes? (Photos)

Question

I had CO2 laser to treat xanthalasmas under both eyes approx. 3 1/2 mos ago. There were large spots which needed deeper laser but I now have large scars. I message them but am worried massage will stretch my skin even more. I have used a silicone gel sheet but not consistently. I have also applied vit E oil. Please let me know how to flatten these scars. Thanks.

These scars can be improved with a combination of vascular lasers like yellow laser, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels, and skin care. Sun protection is essential. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a scarring expert.  Silagen gel should be used twice daily with jan marini bioshield.  Best, Dr. Emer

Hello and thank you for your post - from your photos, I am not certain that you have hypertrophic scars. Have you allowed your board certified physician to assess you post treatment? Xanthelasma is very challenging to treat. You may benefit from repeat treatment, and it may be better to treat your entire periorbital region as opposed to the isolated areas with xanthelasma.
