I will be 40 this fall and my neck / jawline / double chin is officially driving me crazy. I would prefer not to go under the knife yet (in my mind I'll have a facelift scheduled in 10 years at 50 ;) but the current sagging is not ok with me. I've looked into Profound / Sculpsure / Genius / and of course a neck lift. What is the best route here? The most bang for my buck that will get me over the line until surgery down the road?
Answer: Profound for double chin and laxity? ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS NJ Profound RF (Radiofrequency) is a minimally invasive treatment that combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production. It's often used for skin tightening and rejuvenation, including for areas like the double chin and laxity. Here are some benefits: **Skin Tightening**: It helps tighten sagging skin, reducing the appearance of a double chin and improving overall skin laxity. **Collagen Production**: Stimulates the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, essential for youthful, firm skin. **Minimally Invasive**: Less invasive than surgical options with no significant downtime. **Natural-Looking Results**: Provides gradual, natural-looking improvements in skin texture and firmness. **Improved Skin Texture**: Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and improves overall skin texture. **Long-Lasting Results**: Results can last up to a year or more, depending on individual skin condition and aging process. Answer: Profound and double chin Hello, Based on your pictures, a treatment that can tighten the extraskin of your jawline and double chin areas would be the best choice for you. If you are not considering the surgical option, the best nonsurgical option is Profound RF because it’s an effective treatment for lower face and upper neck lift. It improves the areas of your concern although still the surgical option is the best option if you are looking for best result. Best regards, Dr Ali Sajjadian

Answer: Nearly 40, what's best for double chin/laxity issue? (Photos) Hi Bren, Your complaint is shared by many patients. All of the modalities that you ask about are tools that can be used by skilled physicians. They are not commodities that give the same result no matter who performs the treatment. Therefore it is essential that you choose your treating expert physician very carefully based on their skill, experience, knowledge, care, and natural artistic vision. The best non-surgical option for you in my opinion would be a combination of Profound RF with PRP, hyperdilute Radiesse injected in your neck, Sculptra in your face, and a light fractionated CO2 laser from your forehead to your clavicles. The treatment results will continue to improve over 9 months. Anytime after the initial treatment, you may benefit from additional Volux and Voluma injections along your jaw and chin. Hopefully with this plan your aesthetic goals can be achieved and maintained so that your "surgical" procedure can be further delayed for many years. Should you choose a minimal surgery then I would recommend just a liposuction of your neck. Good luck and be well. Michael Persky, MD Encino, CA

Answer: Fillers Work Well For Facial & Jawline Contouring Exercise a hefty dose of "buyer beware" when consider the expensive "bells and whistles" energy-based devices. The hard science to promote their use lags woefully behind the heavy marketing to promote them. On the other hand, the use of a robust HA filler along the jawline can help to straighten and define it and reduce submental laxity. Likewise, the use of another robust HA filler in the chin can not only better harmonize chin projection with that of the nose and lips in profile, but can further tighten the submental region. And, to boot, all this, in the hands of an experienced injector, can be accomplished in about twenty minutes with immediate results and little to no significant downtime. Just make sure to seek consultation and treatment by a board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.

Answer: Nearly 40, what's the best for double chin The Side profile photograph demonstrates a recessive chin profile, and fat deposits in the neck. Consider placement of a chin implant to augment the chin forward which will give better structural support for the soft tissues in the neck. This will help with your projection of your chin from the side profile. The fat deposits in your neck can be located both above and below the platysma muscle. Liposuction can only remove fat deposits above the muscle which quite frequently just only gives minimal improvement. When there's fat deposits below the platysma muscle, a surgical neck lift is performed along with a platysma-plasty which significantly improves the jaw line. At age 39, no skin removal is required.A neck lift and a chin implant can be performed simultaneously under general anesthesia which takes approximately an hour and a half. Anticipate two weeks of visible bruising swelling
