Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, facial implants (cheek, chin), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years. Photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation. It is an urban myth that cheek implants can lift sagging tissues of the mid face as the implants are placed under the covering of the bone. Cheek implants in my humble opinion are designed and should be placed in order to highlight, properly shape and accentuate the aesthetic shape of the cheeks. Following the beauty principles that I have developed over more than 3 decades, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces. The face becomes heart shaped when the cheeks are full and round in the front. This can be accomplished with Cheek augmentation using a dermal filler or with cheek implants (provide a permanent enhancement). Sadly, procedures like in-fracturing of the Zygomatic Arches are being performed, mostly outside the US, under the guise of shaping the cheeks. This procedure can cause issues with opening the mouth by impinging upon the Temporalis muscle that travels under the Zygomatic Arch. More importantly, this section of the outer face (not really the main section of the cheek bone or malar bone) will not make the cheek itself fuller or more feminine. It also won't add angularity to the cheeks which makes men look chiseled and handsome ( when angularity exists in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles). Hope this helps.
