Is this normal for scarring one month post otoplasty? (Photo)

Question

I had bilateral otoplasty done a little over a month ago. The scars along the posterior incision area seem to be pronounced especially because you can see lateral markings where the stitches were. The PS used dissolvable sutures but they took around 3 weeks to fall out. I've asked some people and it's quite noticeable if they are standing a few feet behind me. Will this resolve on its own or what is your advice? Thank you.

One month after an otoplasty is still pretty early on and you can expect the incision to look better with time.  However, make sure to follow up with your surgeon and discuss your concerns.

Thanks for your question and the photos. Over the next few weeks, the redness should fade. You should speak with your PS if you are concerned. In general, otoplasty incisions heal well.
