I’m 2 weeks post op BBL with lipo on saddlebags, inner thighs, and abdomen. From behind, my butt appears round, however from a side view, my buttocks slope down and appear flat. They’ve been this way since day 2. Why is this? Could it be my compression garment? I feel it is way too tight, especially in the butt.
Answer: Flattening of buttocks after BBL Thank you for your question. With Brazilian butt lift we transfer fat from one area of the body to the other. These fat cells are transferred in microinjections throughout multiple planes in the buttock tissue so that they can gain new blood supply and live in their new home, providing increased volume and shape to the buttocks. You are likely seeing changes as a result of decreasing swelling. After surgery there is a predictable swelling process that mostly resolves over two months, when the final result really settles in.

Answer: BBL results Dear Rocluv,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a BBL surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 2 weeks post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. If you are concerned about your compression garment, I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: Change of the shape after BBL The change of shape in the days after surgery are contributed to a lot of factors. The biggest factor being water that still is in between the fat cells during and immediately after injection. The next factor is the size of the fat droplets that have been transplanted. The smaller the droplets are the more oxygen they will have to stay alive. Depending on the technology used survival rates range between 60 to 80%. The Bodyjet or Waterjet assisted Liposuction seems to be having a superior rate of uptake. Of course the compression garment can cause loss of fat cells due to excessive pressure. The compression garment should have only pressure over the areas of lipo suction and not over those of lipo filling. Have a wonderful rest of the day and greetings from the beautiful island of Jamaica.

Answer: Bbl At this point you are going through the healing process. It takes time for things to settle down. It appears that you have a nice shape. Not sure what you started with since there are no preop photos.
