Hi Weinster,I am Sarah, a medical assistant at Aesthetic Skin MD with Dr. Anil Shah in Chicago! It is normal for bruising to occur after your injections like you experienced, but for the bruising to return months later is not. I would see your provider as soon as you can! If you are ever in the Chicago area and would like to pay us a visit to see one of our providers, please click on the link below.
It is not typical to have bruising appear after treatment, resolve, and then reappear two months later. I encourage you to return to your injector for an evaluation.
It is possible to develop bruising after any injection, including Dysport to the forehead. The severity of bruising can vary and the length of time bruising takes to resolve is normally related to how bad the bruising is. I would say in most instances, bruising should resolve between a few days to a couple of weeks. In my opinion, it is not normal for bruising to recur after it has resolved the first time, unless there was a new episode of trauma to cause the bruise to recur. I would recommend contacting the physician who performed your Dysport treatment so that you can be evaluated in person.
