Dear ac1438,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Most likely the lump you describe is an area of fat necrosis. In my opinion that should not stop you from having a revision. If the lump bothers you it can be removed with open surgery. whether that is a good idea or not or if it should be done as a separate procedure for my revision is something that you will need to discuss with your surgeon.I suggest talking to the Doctor Who did your procedure or having a few in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons in your area who have experience with this procedure.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
