"Decent" looking hair is subjective. If you want a consultation and recommendation see a doctor for a proper exam.  You need to understand you may continue to lose your existing hair as you age and that hair transplant surgery will never give you the fullness like Dermmatch or Toppik.

Pluggy hair or bad hair line hair transplant is hard to remove. That is why you need to select your doctor wisely.  One way to address a bad hair line is to add more hair (in front) to cover up the bad pluggy hair.

You will have hair loss or shedding weeks after your surgery. It can take up to 6 to 12 months to see results.  If you have concerns see your doctor for a follow up.

In general you cannot receive donor hair from another person unless it is your genetically identical twin.The paper you are referring to is from a research journal.  There is still a risk of rejection and it is not a clinical (real world) practice.  

You need to see a doctor and be more specific on your goals. "Good results" doesn't mean much without a specific goal.  The video here shows some completely bald people with "good results".

You can't tell if your hair transplant looks good after 45 days. It can take over a year. If you are concerned see your doctor.
