This is a great question. There is no restriction on activities two weeks after getting fillers so there is no reason not to travel. Please keep in mind that you may have some bruising and swelling after your injectable treatment that may last up to 7 days. To minimize these possible side effects be sure to discontinue fish oils, aspirin and any other blood thinning agents. Taking oral arnica pellets and applying arnica gel daily post treatment may help minimize any bruising. Safe travels!
Thank you for your question. There is no contraindication to undergoing filler injections 2 weeks prior to traveling. Please keep in mind that swelling and bruising after fillers can persist for up to two weeks, so plan accordingly. I would recommend discussing your concerns with your dermatologist or plastic surgeon prior to your treatment. Best of luck and enjoy your trip!
You should be perfectly fine to travel after your filler injection. Depending on the placement of the filler, you may have some bruising and swelling, but that should be resolved by the time you travel.
Thank you for your question. You should be just fine to receive your filler treatment 2 weeks before your trip. Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow for normal postprocedure swelling and bruising (if present) to resolve and to see your final result. Please be sure to see an expert injector for an in-person consultation to fully discuss your goals and expectations in order to determine the best treatment plan. Hope this helps and best wishes!
it is kind of a funny question. You should know what you want. you can easily get your filler treatment before you go or if no rush, come back and then have your filler. Good luck from New York City
No problems, especially in 2 weeks. The ones I worry about are patients who come to see me from Interstate or Overseas for fillers and depart within 24 hours. The reason being is that swelling etc.. bruising will all settle down. For advanced fillers, even if we are super careful using cannulars and good techniques, there is always a risk of hitting a blood vessel (intravascular injection), especially if I am treating acne scars that over lie vessels. This type of side effect will be evident within 24 hours of injection. In your case of simple cosmetic filling with a 2 week window- absolutely safe. Go for it. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
Alot of times when you read the fine print on the demo flyers in the office you will see that the patients used 2-4cc of filler to achieve the results they desired. You may just need to have more filler injected in each side as 0.5cc is not alot.
It is difficult to tell from the photo for sure. If it is bruising, it is a very common area to get bruised after injection. If it is bruising it will often get better within about a week.
Hello, at 4 days post injection, you are more than likely still experiencing swelling. This swelling around the injection site can last as long as 2 weeks. I would wait a bit longer and then schedule a consultation with your injector if you still feel you are experiencing puffiness above your lips.
