I have two noticeable areas that I am concerned about after lipo 360. Initially the areas were fluid pockets (Photo)

1. I’m sorry you are being avoided by your surgeon in Miami. You would’ve done better choosing a local surgeon you could access 24/7 but that doesn’t help you now.2. Those areas look like external oblique muscles but I can’t tell for sure from your photos.3. Go back to the local surgeon who aspirated your seroma for you.4. Fly back to Miami and show up at the surgeons office you had the procedure at.Good Luck!

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation and irregularities are normal.
If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

it's interesting to me how much patience I appreciate the importance of postoperative care after having had surgery.  I really wish people would take this into consideration before having the procedures.  At nine weeks your results are pretty close to final. Your results are directly related to how the procedure was performed.  The areas of concern are most likely the shape of your underlying musculoskeletal structure and not uneven liposuction results.  Your results look great so be happy with that.  Not being able to get follow up care is what you signed up for when traveling for surgery unless you're willing to fly to Miami.   Considering your results look good I would say you chose reasonably well but some patients have great  results but are still not happy.  Sometimes the inherent limitation of liposuction alone needs to be explained during an inpatient visit. This is especially true in patients with skin laxity or muscle separation from previous pregnancies.  Your irritation could've been eliminated with follow-up appointments.  Based on the overall result I think your procedure was done well. That said I think these are the results you should have.  Your underlying muscular skeletal structure cannot be changed from liposuction and becomes exposed more as the fat layers become thin.  If that's what your body looks like when the fat is removed and that's what it looks like.  If I was meeting with you in person I could show you exactly how thick your fat layers are on every part of your body and point out if the fat was taken out evenly or not. Over the Internet I can't do this.  You didn't show before pictures so we don't really have much information to go by. My best suggestion for you is to follow up with the surgeon who did your procedure. Only that person can help you with this.  Anyone else you go to will be second-guessing and that leads to poor decision making. There's no substitute for talking to the person who actually did your procedure.  I encourage people to stay local for elective surgical procedures on a daily basis.  I'm very very good at liposuction. I only do liposuction and fat transfer procedures in my practice.  I've done over 6000 of these cases.  I don't try to recruit people to travel from out of town. If people want to do it they can but in general people should stay local for surgical procedures because after care is important, complications happen and revisions do happen( at least if people want great result) I am also opinionated.  My response to your post is written for you and for everyone else who reads them.  I'm not trying to lay into you personally for having travel to Miami for your procedure.I'm just trying to get people to try to stay local whenever possible. If you had access to good follow up care then you wouldn't of had to find a new doctor to drain your fluid collection, your provider could explain why your results look the way they do and if there's room for improvement offer you a touch up procedure.  I'm guessing if I saw your before and after pictures the results would be far better than most I see on the Internet.  There's some scary bad outcomes from liposuction of people being completely disfigured.  I see these on an almost daily basis.  I want people to have good experiences with consistent good outcomes in cosmetic surgery no matter where they live or who they go to.  Forgive my blunt nature and how I responded to your post.  I think you would be happier with your results if you knew for sure the procedure was done the best possible way and these are the best possible results.  If you're still left with the thought that the procedure wasn't done correctly (even if it was) then you will always have negative emotions in regards to your outcome, the procedure and the provider.  Being able to convert someone's emotional state from one of negative thoughts to positive ones with the same identical surgical outcome can make a difference in someone's life. If there is someway to convince you that these were the best results possible no matter who did the procedure you could walk through life feeling much better about yourself and your previous decisions.  That's enough of my rambling.  If it all possible I would encourage you to fly back to Miami and follow up with your surgeon.  Without proper postoperative care the process will be left open and you will always have questions.  Real self will never fulfill the need for an in person postoperative care appointment  Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
