Hello,Thank you for your question. I can appreciate the nasal characteristics you mention in your photos. I would recommend lowering of the dorsum/bump removal, tip cartilage removal with suturing and possible alar base reduction. This can be done using the closed / scarless approach. I wish you all the best.Mark G. Albert, M.D., F.A.C.S.New York, NY and Boston, MA
Hi @laurenn_elaine! Thank you for sending your photos. I recommend seeing an expert rhinoplasty specialist for an in person examination. There are several options for you that can be determined after examination. In my practice, I utilize piezosurgery. Piezosurgery is a more gentle technique that allows for greater precision. Less bruising and swelling is common with Piezosurgery. In a typical rhinoplasty, a hammer and chisel technique is performed leading to more inadvertent fractures. Best of Luck, Dr. Nima!
Thank you for your question! Rhinoplasty or "nose job" procedures can help shape, define, and modify the nose's appearance. Per your images and descriptions, your concerns could definitely be improved with this procedure. Slimming and defining the bridge/tip/and alar flares can assist in creating overall facial harmony or to achieve a more "feminine" appearance. There are multiple areas of the nose both internal and external that all work in conjunction for the overall appearance. It is important to find a provider who is qualified and knowledgeable in these procedures to ensure best results. Your physician should do a full facial evaluation, understand your goals, and provide the best treatment plan to get to your desired results.
I would recommend starting with a consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty surgery to discuss if rhinoplasty can address your concerns. I would recommend writing down the following questions before scheduling your consultation:1. Are you unhappy with the tip of your nose? 2. Do you feel that your nose is too wide? 3. Do you want to make your nostrils smaller in appearance? 4. Are you looking to decrease the general size of your nose?I hope some of these questions will help you pinpoint what it is that you don't like about your nose. Cost will vary due to various factors like anesthesia fees, facilities fees, etc. I wish you the best as you research your options when scheduling a rhinoplasty consultation.Sincerely,Philip J. Miller, MD, FACS Double Board-Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon
To feminize your nose, we would perform an open septorhinoplasty. This will allow us to relieve your nasal obstruction by excising the deviated septum. We would take down the hump of your dorsum and then narrow your nasal tip by excising excess lower lateral cartilage, and then further increase the definition of your nasal tip by suturing the remaining crural cartilages together, and then overlaying this with cartilage grafts harvested from the septal cartilage and the conchal cartilage of the ear. The width of the base of the nose will be reduced by performing weir excisions of the alae.
Hello, and thank you for your question. All the concerns you mentioned –nasal bump, bulbous tip, wide nasal ala, and a deviated septum –can be addressed with a well-performed rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty is a very complex procedure, however. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with a strong rhinoplasty portfolio. A rhinoplasty expert will have a deep understanding of facial anatomy, especially when it comes to the functional and aesthetic components of the nose. Your surgeon will assess your profile, recommend the best surgical approach, use digital photography to show projected results, and ensure the best possible outcome.
From the photos that you have provided, you appear to be a great candidate for a rhinoplasty. Possible changes to consider would be lessening the bump at your bridge, straightening the nose overall, bringing in the nostril margin, and refining the tip. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple in office consultations with board certified facial plastic surgeons to discuss your ideal outcome. This way, they can assess your goals in person and determine the best treatment for you. Best of luck! Kian Karimi MD, FACS
Hello. In general a nose that is "more feminine" means creating a more defined tip, reducing a bump on the dorsum, and making the nose a little bit smaller overall. In your case, a rhinoplasty could potentially help you achieve this. I recommend seeing a rhinoplasty surgeon to discuss the details of what can be done in your particular case.
Boney humps and bulbous wide tips are probably the most common problems that patients look to rhinoplasty to improve. Correcting these will give you a more slender refined nose that will match the rest of your face. You should get a great result. Go for it and good luck.
Hi, I think you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. Your complains about your nose will solve with rhinoplasty surgery. Also more feminine and more aesthetic nose can be created with rhinoplasty surgery. But there are some issues you have to talk with your surgeon such as in these photos it looks like that you have a thick skin and your face has a little asymmetry between right and left side. Therefore, it is important to analysis and examine carefully before the surgery. I wish you a good surgery process.Have a nice day …

Hello, and thank you for your question. While it appears you may benefit from nose shaping, the best way to determine your eligibility for rhinoplasty, as well as the right surgical approach would be to schedule an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon,...
Thank you for your picture. It will take at least a year for the tip to reach its final shape. For patients with thicker skin types, the healing process may take even longer. 7 months is still too early for you to see the final results. The tip takes the longest time to heal because that is the...
