Hi. I had a hair transplant last week in Monday, so in the morning it will be 8 days since operation. I'm worried because my crust is still there and it is a lot of it. Can I pick it off without worrying that my hair will fall off or should I wait for it to fall off by its own? I put some bepanthen on it. Any advice ? The back is ok but front is worrying. I Had transplant in turkey.

It is best to contact your surgeon for post surgery issues and care since all doctors have slightly different instructions.

Hi, I understand your concern but there really isn’t too much to worry about. I recommend washing your hair by applying baby shampoo and water on a sponge and gently scrubbing your head in a rolling motion. Do not pick the crust off with your fingers. You will see the crusting start to fall off within a week or two.

All of the crusts should have been washed off immediately after the surgery and on the day after the surgery so that no crusting remains. Now after 2 weeks, you will have to leave the shampoo on your crusts and then gently massage the crusts off over day
