I have 3 children and my youngest is 5. I have very thin skin underneath my c-section scar and when I scratch that area my skin always tears. It'll then ooze with plasma and looks nasty. What are my options?

Answer: Thin skin after having children? Tummy tuck may be appropriate, but an exam would be necessary to make that determination.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Thin lower abdominal skin Follow up with your primary care physician to investigate the cause of fragile skin beneath your c section scar. Surgical options would include revision of the c section scar alone or in conjunction with a tummy tuck. A consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon would be helpful to review these in detail.
