33F, does Spironolactone deplete collagen?

Hi, I'm 33F with normal hormone levels & bloodwork. I was on Spiro for 11 months for acne & hair thinning. Worked great for acne but didn't do anything for hair. I didn't have any side effects until I started getting joint pain (with cracking) 10 months in. I've heard spiro can deplete collagen. There's a study where it was used to treat heart disease due to the overproduction of collagen. Collagen is essential for skin & joints! Say it isn't so. Thanks!
