How long will it take for me to get my period back after taking spironolactone?

I started taking spironolactone 50mg twice a day for just one week and had to stop it because I suffered from sever side effects like confusion,nausea,hyperventilation and fainting. that was two months ago and my period has also stopped,I used to get it every 23 days and now I’m worried about it being this late. Is it normal for it to be this late? How do I get my period back ?

Spironolactone can affect the menstrual cycle due to its anti-androgenic effects. It can cause irregular periods, spotting, or even missed periods. However, after stopping the medication, your menstrual cycle should gradually return to normal. The length of time this takes can vary from person to person.
If it has been two months and your period has not returned, it may be due to other factors such as stress, weight changes, or other underlying medical conditions. It could also be a residual effect of the spironolactone, but this is less likely after two months.
