I got my veneers places 3 weeks ago & I have come to see that there is a space between my gum line & the top of the veneers where I can see my natural tooth. I asked my dr & he said, “You may have a little tooth showing at a few margins near the gum, but it will not be unaesthetic.” However to me it just doesn't seem right, isn’t this why people get their veneers redone? Why did I go through 13 hours of pain to still be able to see my old tooth? Shouldn’t a margin not be visible for many years?

There are other factors besides material selection, although it is very important. Tooth position, alignment, extent of overbite and presence of tooth wear and grinding are significant factors as well. I would suggest having a diagnostic waxup or prototype model...
Hi, you should not have pain, it's not normal. You should visit your dentist to find what causes the pain and inflammation. you must wear at night, while you sleep a retainer to avoid bruxism
You should return to your dentist to have the teeth and veneers looked at. At this visit the contacts between the teeth will be checked to see if some minimizing of contacts is needed, to see if excess cement is stuck between the teeth and to check the bite forces on the teeth and veneers.
