Answer: Swelling after SmartLipo Hi. It is normal and expected to have a fair amount of swelling after SmartLipo, especially in the inner thighs. That skin is thin, and shows swelling easily. Often times, in the first couple of weeks, the result is camouflaged by the post operative swelling. As that subsides, you will start to get an idea of your result. But it is typically 2-3 months before you really start to see close to what the result is going to be. Keep close followup with your surgeon so that he/she can guide you through this process. Good luck and take care,Dr. Howell

Answer: How long will swelling last? Thanks for your question! Following liposuction, traditional or SmartLipo, swelling can last for up to a year, believe it or not. Most of your swelling should be gone between 3-6 months, but with the inner thighs, it can linger longer. Just give it time and be patient. Good luck!

Answer: How long does swelling last with inner thigh Smart Lipo? Thanks for your question. Swelling post Smart Lipo can last anywhere from 2-4 weeks so this seems quite normal at this time. Most providers will recommend support garments after the procedure which are important and needed to help this. You are on track and be patient, things will improve and you should do just fine.
