Yes, it is normal to miss periods after surgery as a result of the swelling. Try to avoid salty foods and drink lots of water.

Yes, is not uncommon to miss one or two periods or be late due to stress of the surgery. But the first thing to do is rule out pregnancy, if you are sexually active.

Your body needs time to heal from surgery. If you're sexually active and have been since having the surgery, checking to make sure you aren't pregnant should be your first step.
