It is normal for swelling to go up and down for several weeks and even months after surgery. Be sure to sleep with your head elevated and avoid salt. Share your concerns with your surgeon. Good luck.

Will I "undo" my lower face lift if I lose weight after the surgery? Should I try to lose the excess weight before?

If you are planning to lose more than 5 or 10 pounds you should try to do that before your surgery, any more than that and it could affect your results. Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.

You can return to light workouts about two weeks after your Mini Lift and neck lift, but nothing that requires any kind of straining, and nothing high impact. I’d recommend waiting 3 to 4 weeks before going back to weight lifting. At that point, you can’t undo your neck lift. If anything, str...
