Is it normal for your doctor to ask you to send pictures before your consultation?

Hello, thank you for your question. I think now a days with advanced secure portals and people unable to come in person, sending in photos prior to a consultation maybe an option. We also ask for photos to see if we can address their goals and make recommendations. Typically we never ask for face or identifiable photos. If it is something you feel uncomfortable with, you can just go in person and they do take pictures at the office as well. Speak to your plastic surgeon about your concerns.

Preoperative photos are typically taken in the office, however protocols may vary. If you have concerns I encourage you to discuss them with the surgeon. The photos we take in the office are with your arms down at your sides and include various angles.
