Thank you for sharing your question. After any injection there is some temporary swelling at the site that can feel like bumps. This should improve over 24-48 hours. If the bumps are the result of Voluma placement deeply into the face then these may take up to 4 weeks to soften and mature. Hope this helps.

It is not unusual to have a temporary bump or localized swelling at the site of the injection for Voluma or any other injectable filler. Normally this resolves fairly quickly in a few days. If you feel your issue is not improving, you should contact the physician who treated you so that you can be evaluated in person.

You can have swelling at the injection sites along the cheek bone for up to three weeks and in a few people even longer. Voluma is a water loving molecule and so it takes time for the product to stop swelling. Eventually, as long as it was injected at the proper depth it will be smooth and look great.
